Sticks And Stones May Break My Bones, But Words That Don't Pertain To Me Have No Meaning!!!!

Re-post from my first Blog!!!!!

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me! I remember hearing those words as a young girl and saying, are you kidding me. Words hurt and some words hurt so bad that you feel like you just got the wind knocked out of you. But it wasn't until recently that I learned that words have NO POWER. We give them power by breathing life into them. How you ask, let me explain.

I remember getting into arguments with my brother when I was younger because he called me a name. My mom would come busting in our room asking what's going on and I would say something silly like, Corey called me a name and her question to me was, are you the name he called you and I would sit there with the stupid face and say “NO” and her response to me would be, so why did you respond or why does it bother you. Well you know what Keeper's. I gave his words life and even as an adult I use to do the same thing. Someone would say something about me and what would I do “RESPOND”. There I go giving words life again.

But there is an even more damaging side to giving words life and it's called believing them. There are millions of wounded people walking around, because they choose to give other peoples words life and they do this by #1. breathing life into them by acknowledging their words and #2. holding onto them so long that they began to believe them. It's extremely hard to defeat something you believe in or something you have been carrying around for so long. So I ask you to please stop giving life to words that you know are used to hurt you.. If the words don't pertain to you, leave them alone.

God has blessed me way to much for me not to share what I know. He has supplied me with wisdom that some people never receive. When I wake up in the morning my thoughts are how can I help someone "GET IT".  How can I help women understand that they can be God fearing, happy, established and successful. My passion lies within you. I want you to receive what I'm telling you. There's someone amazing inside of you.  She knows who she is, she knows what she want and she's ready to make her appearance. My inner "Champion" was screaming at the top of her lungs to be released and when I let her loose she blew me away. I never knew I was so "CAPABLE", but God knew.  I walk by faith and I talk to God about any and everything, but I'm also smart enough to take action. My passion, goals and desire is to impact lives, not just planting seeds. I want to help you, help them grow and harvest

You May Not Understand Now Why God Allowed Your Pain, But You Will One Day!

The most vulnerable time for me in my life was when “I Do” turned into “I Don’t”. I felt as if my skin was stripped away from my body and every noise, word, opinion, smile, frown or thought was like someone touching my open flesh and the best way to describe that felling is to simply say “It Hurts”.  That was my lowest point in life and it wasn't solely, because of the marriage “It was about ME”. Oh how I want to blame him right now, because he did hurt me, but to be honest it wasn't even about him. I was giving a person/human being way to much credit and that’s what we do when we're lost and in need of inner healing. We blame others for all our pain, even though sometimes they do deserve it, but that’s the coward’s way out and that’s the way of holding onto a lot of hurt and pain. Taking your responsibility for the situation is like a way of forgiveness. It eliminates what I call the “Blame, Shame and Anger Game".

Have you ever heard of the saying the straw that broke the camel’s back, well my divorce was that straw and it broke me, but it broke me, so I had no other choice, but to rebuild me. What I thought was God scolding me, was actually God loving me more than I loved myself. He was looking down at me and saying look at my daughter, she is “oh so broken”, she doesn't know if she should love or hate, she is so confused, using everyday gestures to fuel what she’s missing like a hug, touch, embrace and allowing them to medicate her brokenness. She has lost herself in her role and can’t seem to find her way out. Why won't she call on me, so I can help her?  She’s so stubborn.  So,here I go. This is going to hurt me more than it will hurt you. Do you remember those words when you were children; those are the words your parents would say right before the punishment or as my brother call it “The Beat Down” and just like that he opened my eyes and my world came crumbling down.

So it was at this point that I thought he left me, because I was faced with “I Do” turning into “I Don’t”. I was going through a living hell, because he was showing me everything I couldn't see or refuse to see for years, so there was times he would give me a dose of reality and I would feel like someone was touching my raw skin and then the pain would go away and I would feel OK. I get it now. During the times he would open my eyes he would let me experience the pain, so I wouldn't forget what it felt like; then he would hold me in his arms and whisper in my ear, words that would comfort my soul. Like you’re strong, you’re going to get through this, you have to figure out who you are, but you must call on me “Chloe”. I need you to call on me. One morning I woke up and those of you that read my book know what comes next. I checked on my children looked in the mirror and couldn't even stand or believe that the reflection looking back was me and I fell to the floor and cried “Lord why, help me, I need you, I need you Lord” and to make a long story short this was the day I called confronting me, but now I realize it was actually the day “God Confronted Me and the healing begin”, because I called on him and made him first and he rewarded me with inner peace.

The Lord created me in a marvelous way.

He gave me a smile to share with others..
He gifted me with a cheerful spirit…
He allowed me to be made whole through the Sacrifice of His Son.
and then He walked with me in a sad place and brought me out.

You Gotta Stay Prayed UP!!

(Re-post from original blog)

You Gotta Stay Prayed Up!!! If you don't know, let me be the first to tell you. Once you decide to live your life according to the "Authentic YOU", you will often be in the presence of "VAMPIRES".. People that are ready to suck your dreams, joy and peace right out of you. It's unfortunate, some "Vamps" don't know what they do or who they are, but isn't that always the case. We really don't realize how bad things are until we get out of the situation. So you have to stay prayed up. God has given me the ability to see a "VAMP" a mile away and sorry I just don't have nothing to give you.

Some of them truly don't mean any harm, they just don't believe in themselves, so when you come along talking your "BIG TALK" about dreams, goals and etc they don't understand you and what do most people do when they don't understand something, instead of trying to learn more about it, they will find a way to suck the life right out of it and if you're not strong enough, they'll have you thinking the same way and if you hang around people with this characteristic it's easy to adopt their habits.

So for starters be very careful of who you tell your dreams too. Secondly, STAY PRAYED UP, because sometimes you will not realize you are in the presence of a "Vamp" until they have sucked you dry.. Thirdly, Stay focused and stand strong in who you are and the person that you're becoming.

A Prayer of Faith

Lord I come to you asking you to increase my sisters "Faith".  Lord show them this Monday morning, the true meaning of what it is to have faith. Faith without fear Lord, faith without worry, faith without question. Lord I ask you to show them a glimpse of what you're capable of doing if they exhibit true faith. Show them your clarity, wisdom, knowledge and grace. Give them a dose of your vision for their life Lord, blow them away. For they don't seem to grasp how powerful you truly are Lord. Shower your love all over them, show them what being faithful will get them. Restore dreams Lord, re-ignite passions and show them just how powerful, loving and eager you are to make what they think is impossible "Possible". You are a dream maker, dream creator and dream ex-changer,  exchanging dreams for reality and lifting people higher than they ever imagined. Lord show them what you're capable of. They need you, Lord I need you, we need you.  In your name I pray.

Amen

Yes, Success Leaves Clues!!!!

Every Motivational Speaker is familiar with the famous Tony Robbins quote "Success Leaves Clues", but it wasn't until today that I realized the true meaning of this brilliant quote. Have you ever sat down and thought to yourself  "My, I have been blessed to know some amazing people".  But what qualities  did these people have for you to think they were so amazing? This morning I was thinking about the  the bosses I've had the pleasure to work with; and to be honest I was thinking of two in particular. I wasn't just thinking of them to be thinking of them. I was thinking of their amazing work ethic, their thought process and how both of these amazing people were the kings of the castle, meaning they ran the company, but you would never have known from the way they carried themselves.

So my question to you is:
  1. WHO'S SUCCESS CLUES ARE YOU STUDYING AND WHY?
  2. AND IF YOUR NOT, DON'T YOU THINK YOU SHOULD?

I realized several people have crossed my path and blessed me with clues or should I say "GEMS". I began to become a student of "What Works".  Why does one company make millions and the other company selling the same product dwindles. Why does everyone hate one manager and love the other. Study, study, study! Yes, people success leaves clues. You don't study to duplicate you study to see what works and what don't. For three years I watched my Boss enter the office and greet everyone he came across by their first name.  I was impressed because we had well over a thousand employees, but I also realized by doing this act he made people feel special, like they were part of the team. Another "Gem" he passed on was he never said "MY", we never heard him say "My Company", he always said "Our Company". He always said we are a team and each person shares equal responsibility in keeping this company afloat. These are the clues that were left behind for me and of course there are a host of others, but you get the point.

It pays to watch and study so you won't make the same costly mistakes that others made. Trust me when I tell you some of the trials you will face have already been figured out by another. So get out there and learn, study and watch those that are already in the space you wish to be.

Transferring of Energy

Hurt People, Hurt People
Transferring of Energy

We are surrounded by hundreds of people on any given day and each person comes with their own set of problems, issues and beliefs. You never know what’s going on in a person's mind until you get to know them, speak to them or it began to show in their actions and sometimes you still don’t know. I was the queen of showing the world what I wanted them to see. I buried my truth deep down inside and covered it with makeup and presented the world with an amazing women. Only a few people knew my truth and those that knew only knew bits and pieces. No one wants to look dysfunctional in the eyes of others. Trust me it end up showing in others way. Think of an abscess or infection if it’s not taken care of or healed properly it will start to show or ooze out in episodes.

What a lot of people don’t know is when people begin to have sudden outburst and begin to blame, disrespect or point fingers it’s normally because of something deeper and trust me there’s always a root that need to be uplifted. Remember when I said I was once the queen of showing the world what I wanted them to see, well my cries for help were often in my outburst or my attitude and once I got it out of my system I was fine, for the time being, but there’s a reason for that. We have a habit of transferring our energy over to others. So what was once under my skin is now under yours, meaning the person who was at the end of your outburst, cry for help or whatever you choose to call it. You slapped them so hard with your energy that they don’t even know what happen to them and now their walking around with your stuff  that will eventually stir up  their own personal stuff and now they have a spirit of anger, sadness, defensiveness or depression and they don’t even know where it came from. I learned about transferring of energy early on when I was taking a psychology class and I became more aware of it when I was working with girls in a group home. I would come home so drained from their issues and trying to figure out how to solve them that I was becoming miserable and didn’t realize it until I was going through some of my old school notes on transferring energy.

I remember a couple of years ago I wrote a blog  called “Beware of the Mind Virus” (link listed below) in which I talked about protecting your mind from people. Well, transferring of energy is somewhat the same. Be careful of what you allow your spirit to take in. Don’t allow people to dump their issues on you continuously and if you’re in the business of helping people you must put a barrier up where you are the listener and not the receiver. You may hear the issues, but you don’t allow them to resonate in your soul. You have to learn to show empathy instead of sympathy while still remaining human and not cold or robotic. You must also learn not to take others peoples words and actions seriously by walking in your truth. Walking in your truth is knowing you had nothing to do with that person's actions so you don’t allow their energy to transfer over to you. You continue with your day, you don’t respond, become angry or defensive, you just continue to walk in your truth. Don’t become so use to drama that you think taking on someone else’s energy or issues is part of the resolving/healing process.

What I've Come to Believe

What I've Come to Believe

I've come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.

Oprah Winfrey, O Magazine, September 2002

I found a new favorite quote, Lady “O” you rock! Since I started on my journey of transformation and spiritual enlightenment, I have been blessed to realize a couple of things; and since I’m so passionate about sharing what I learn, I decided to write a blog titled "What I've Come to Believe".

1.      My Life Is So Much Bigger Than Me

This was kind of hard for me to grasp, because one of my favorite subjects to teach is “Self-Love”. How do I teach Self-Love and in the same speech teach “Your Life Is So Much Bigger Than You”. It sounds kind of contradicting right? But it’s not, there are steps we must take in this learning process and developing a love for self definitely comes first. I know we all heard the airplane analogy “Always put your oxygen mask on before trying to help someone else”. Well, the same analogy can be used for this scenario. You have to learn to love yourself, so you can teach those around you how to treat or love you. It’s through our actions of how we treat ourselves that others learn to treat us. So we must master the art of self-love before we venture outside of ourselves.  It’s in the journey of getting to know yourself that you realize life is so much bigger than you and I. Like Oprah said “The best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service.

2.      You Have To Learn To Silence The World To Be Successful

I believe if you can master this, you are on the road to being “Spectacular”. The less you care about what people think the more you’ll be able to achieve. This is coming from an Ex “Validationista” I know there’s no such word but neither is “Visionista” but that’s what I call myself. Learning to stay focused on your goals will definitely help you in this area. I realized it was in my boredom that I heard the voice of my inner child saying maybe you can’t do this or you're not good enough and it was also in my boredom that I heard the world’s chit chatter. You have to become so focused on being a better you that you don’t have time to see, hear or acknowledge what people say about you. You will also reach a level of understanding and come to realize what people think of you is none of your business and what someone says about you shows the depth of their character not yours.

“Boredom is the conviction that you can't change ... the shriek of unused capacities.”
― Saul Bellow, The Adventures of Augie Marc

3.      Your Belief System Forms Your Reality

If you have a strong belief in something that’s exactly what you’ll attract. If you’re constantly thinking the world is against you, then it will. If you believe you have a right to success than you will be more likely to achieve it. Your beliefs stares you in the face every time you look in the mirror. You can’t run from them you can only work on changing them. Your beliefs create your experience in life. Change your beliefs and your life will change.

Of course I have a million more, but I figured three was enough for now.  So remember life is so much bigger than you and I, Learn to silence the world to be successful and your belief system form your reality..

Feel free to comment or like. It is through your interaction that I know what areas interest you the most or if my message was received. My purpose is to help transform and empower.

3. I attended Mark Twain for the Gifted and Talented and majored in dance.. Yup I auditioned and made it and love it till this day.. (Here's a two for one ;) I even purchased a full size mirror to practice at home.

4. I love to cook. I even thought about going to a culinary school.

5. I wake up at 5:00am like clock work and if I sleep after 10:00am I'm very moody.. Watch out now!!

6. My oldest sister drowned when I was 5 months old and she was 12. My next to oldest sister was killed in a crossfire when I was 21 and she was 29 she left behind 8 amazing children and her children are just like my own. I am the baby and only girl, but I have two older brothers. So, Yes I Am My Sister's Keeper..

7. My first book sold well over a thousand copies the first month.

8.  I will get out of bed at least two or three times a week in the middle of the night just to write.

9. I love to write but I'm the worse proof reader in the world and most writers are. One of my college professors once told me. Writers remember what they write so when they read it they see the word even when it's not there. You learn something new everyday, but I'm working on that too..

10. My goal is to coach a couple of celebrities who I see standing in their own way. It's horrible to see a person come so far than crash and burn because of this thing called "THE EGO"
